The ECB Designer function may be accomplished by the Electronic Engineer or the Mechanical Engineer in some product teams. The ECB Designer handles compliance to:  IPC and/or other general layout standards,
UL, CSA, CE and/or other safety standards,
ISO-9000 and/or other documentation standards,
Mechanical specs such as specific part locations,
Electrical specs such as current and impedance,
Manufacturing specs such as Test Port locations,
